the flaming orb is a damage shield from specing in earth
and the flames are either him recasting the damage shield or casting terra strike which is a damage add to the targets weapon.

lrod's wizzie is gay. mine has cooler effects =(

I think earth is under appreciated honestly, especially therugist earth spells. I cant wait therugist gets a spell that refreshes every 6 seconds eventully, and automatically makes the enemy miss on their next would be connecting swing.
