Hello Hoss,
I do not know who better to ask about EQ Than the best. Anyways I would like to seriously know some info regarding EQ. I am a veteran player who started EQ when it was just few months released into "Our" World. Haha. Anyways I was thinking about coming back to EQ and would like some feedback on. Should I come back to the original EQ or wait for EQ2. I really have no conception on what EQ is doing atm so if you could add some advice for me I would Sincerely be appreciative.
Thank you for your time.

Depends. Most of PoP if you want to play high end you will need flags to progress so that takes time. But you can get into zones without flags with a raid force to allow you in*exceptions are plane of earth B and plane of time* which are key required.

If you know people who still play, enough that you would be able to join a guild ( at some point, anyway ) or have a group of people to consistently play with, then coming back to EQ may not be a bad idea. Even though your characters probably require some catching up, it might be worth the time.
But if you don't really know anyone anymore, I wouldn't recommend coming back, unless you're willing to spend a lot of time playing catch up and / or intend to be playing EQ for another considerable chunk of time. I say this because, as an entire new generation of MMOGs get released next year ( yeah I know, we've heard this before -- but hey, I can hope something better comes along ), you might end up feeling it was a waste of your time.
The payoff is in the people you choose to interact with. You need compatible people in order to have fun, and you need them to advance your character. That's what you should base your decision on -- everything else in EQ is a byproduct.

Thank you very much friends for your time. I appreciate your feedback and will greatly consider it. As of now I would have to start over from scratch again. Personally though the most fun I did have was from levels 20ish to early 50's. Then it got into too much politics. ;0/ But the information of new MMOG's next year is something I am very well going to consider waiting for. BUT again we all know EQ is here to stay. The mother never leaves the den but the children tend to die ;0) My wonder analogy there lol. Anyways Hoss TY yet again for your time. And who know what will happen.
BEST OF LUCK!!! MERRY XMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR HOSS!!!

Come play Eve Online! You can download the client and pay 20 bucks for an account and one month to give it a shot. I am liking it a lot, although it's still a bit buggy IMO (the UI itself has been giving me problems, but what a wonderful UI it is). The concept of the game is absolutely awesome, I think.
