I'll never understand the US making you wait to 21 to drink legally. Where's the logic? :)
Happy birthday, Famor.

When you're a soldier you can drink legally on base at enlistment age because people pointed out how stupid it was to be old enough to die for your country and yet not old enough to be drunk in it.

that's a huge misconception, under age drinking in the Marines is like 75% of the Marines NJPs, the other 24% are probably drinking and driving

But isn't "underage drinking" defined as an enlisted person under 21 who is drinking off-base at that point?
Or did the laws get changed?

It shouldn't be 21, anywhere, at all! By 21 you can be a graduate student, tens of thousands of dollars in debt due to the ridiculous rate tuitions are climbing at, and then get sent off to a war and shot. Yet you can't have a beer? heh.

The laws have been changed, you can't drink on base being under 21 - I don't know when it changed but it's been like that for awhile.

yes and no, I see the reasons why - but most of the poeple who are 21 and older play it off 'out of site out of mind' or play stupid about your age
so yeah, on or off base it's pretty easy to drink, hell most people will let me buy it with a military id off base

happy bday famor.
about beer..hehe this is funny. Over here you can drink inside bars starting at the age of 16 and after 18 you can get drinks too. Same goes for buying alcoholic beverages in shops though most shopkeepers don't give a shit about how old you are so basically you can get your first selfbought puking session ( that's what most end up doing the first time they get drunk ) at the age of 14 or sooner and then you get drunk in public parcs or at home...oh and ya theres no such bs as the alcohol bag or whatever its called, rofl.
I find it idiotic to make ppl get drunk offcially at 21 because many will try to recoup what they think they couldn't do before in a very short time. At 21 ppl over here still get drunk but its more socially drinking with friends rather than a " wow I can get drunk now!! "- thing which I think is pretty primitive and more a tennie sort of thing. Don't get me wrong, I was one of them too but I was 15 back then or younger, i forgot. And yes I still go out drinking but as I said not for the purpose of getting drunk itself in my mind.

Just don't ever get drunk and pass out in a park anywhere near where Bolien lives. You never know what he might do to you, and what sort of pictures might end up in the Hoss screenshots forum ;)
