We aren't supposed to be flaming anyone. We are supposed to be cheering for the Flames! You have no idea how dirty that makes me feel, being from Edmonton and all :/

Meh, I would have preferred Calgary to win, but I am not really disapointed either. This makes things easier to deal with, us Edmontonians can keep on believing we are the better hockey city! We don't have to spend the next 10 years being bugged to hell by Flames fans.

I think Calgary deserved the cup far more than Tampa Bay did. Tampa Bay had an easy ride through some real easy teams, while Calgary went up against a divisional champion every round, and came within a single goal of the cup.

But, at least it wasn't the Devils, or any other of those pathetic excuses for a "trap" playing hockey team. I can at least be happy that Tampa won it by being aggressive the whole way.

Both teams trap Tilea, especially Calgary. They have an agressive forecheck until they get a lead, then they trap like nobody's business. Tampa is less conservative, they are one of the very few teams that trap very little, but they do. Hell, even the Oilers trap from time to time, in the land of Wayne Gretzky that's fucking blasphemy.

i'd figure the team that won 4 games in the series deserved it more...you can't quit at the end (or the game before that), blowing 2 chances isn't something champs do :D

Actually, the Flames won game 6, replays clearly show that the puck crossed the line, but the goal was disallowed. Although Calgary does win the award for taking the kind of retarded penalties that you never take in the playoffs.

Oh and Iginla > the entire Tampa Bay team combined :p except for maybe St Louis. And they're both Canadian. Coincidence? No!

Uh, Tilea, the goal was not disallowed, it wasn't a goal in the first place. No ref, Flame, or Bolt said anything about it. It simply looked like a routine pad save by their goalie. The play continued on, and the next whistle no one said a damn thing. I believe it was some tech guys from ABC or one of the other stations that noticed from one camera angle, you can sort of see a blurry puck possibly behind the line. Every other angle is totally inconclusive, and that particular angle is pretty iffy as well. If a Calgary player had gone and asked for a video replay immediately, then maybe you could make a case for it being a goal. But there is no way a techie from a TV crew should be deciding whether a goal was scored or not in game 6 of the Stanley Cup finals.

Oh yeah, just wanted to add that I think Richards >>> St Louis, especially in the playoffs. St Louis spent the majority of the Calgary series laying on the ice after getting knocked over.

As much as it pained me to root for a Canadian team, I just couldn't stand to see a team from Florida win the Cup. It would be like watching a team from the Yukon winning the beach volleyball gold medal.

And heaven forbid you know what you are talking about...

Yeah and you're the end all, be all of worldly knowledge.

Wait no... you're the end all, be all of condascending little shits, who nobody ever enjoys having a conversation with. Yes, that's more accurate.
