You don't drive around and randomly get out saying things like

"You're da disease and I'm da cure!" in a Sly Stallone accent and leather jacket do ya?:)

Nice car:)

..Yes stock calipers cleaned up a bit, they will look black in no time flat though. Ford put big Brembo disc's on Cobra's, stock GT's have some wimpy crap.

I realize that this may be out from left field. But since you appear to have an affinity for american muscle, I was wondering if you'd have an idea where I could get my hands on a 442.

Crys's mom has always wanted one, would be nice to finally track one down for her.

Ah 442, go for the '69 and earlier.. before the smog monster took its toll... nice old V8 muscle is getting harder and harder to find... and more $$$ ...

I'd browse the web, but you'd likely not find one local. Best bet on the cheap is to check the for sale ad's in every local paper you can find, amazing what you can find from time to time... keep an eye out for local car shows, sometimes you luck out and find someone showing a car to dump it... I'm kinda in the same boat. I've been in the hunt for a '70ish Challenger R/T Hemi (the poor man's 'cuda) ... only close one I found was a shell minus the engine...

I guess half the fun is in the hunt. The other half must be in how to convince the significant other that you absolutely MUST have it.......

Although ill admit modern mustangs lack some old stlye apeal . You can't replace their mark on mussle cars. Most foreign cars lack torque and hp need to be a true mussle cars.. though some handle better on turns etc. Dollar for Dollar you cant beat a good old 350 chevy v8 with any piece of crap import!!!!!!!!! (ferari and lanberguinie , etc, excuded, but then again look at the cost!) Btw card nice licenece plate!!!!! i will find u now!!!!!!!!!!!

Off road? Money is on vinen
Race through corners? Money is on Vinen
1/4 Mile: Money on Card.

You could probably beat most cars in straight 1/4 mile but that takes no damn skill and is no fun! hehe

You won't get much argument from me, Camaro's and Mustangs's easily handle just about any sports car out there, in terms of straight line speed. But do Mustangs even have independant rear suspension yet? I think the Cobra does, but not so sure about GT's. That's fucking embarassing. Straight line, yeah they are awesome. Refinement, handling, interiors etc? Awful.

Hehe, a kid I knew in Highschool who had a Camero, idiot wrapped it around a telephone pole because he was racing someone.

He was the most arrogant prick until that day, the day his ego died.

Yes, Cobra has fully IRS. I have mine set up more for corner carving than 1/4mi (but its not exactly slow for a straight line either..) , lowered with road race springs, HD shocks and struts, etc. Properly set up, Cobra's make fine track cars.

... so on pavement, I'll take the blown 500+ hp Cobra v. the 200 hp WRX... off road.. well, I got about 2" ground clearance before I loose my Bassani X-pipe... so I'll pass ;)
