The original Clavicus was one of the best 5 bards on all servers hands down. As for people who posted windle, hmm... he seems just good as me while studying when I had my gamepad set up... but who knows most bards are, I am reading or taking care of kids most of the time while playing EQ now a days so who am I to throw stones in glass houses. I did alot of thinking about these because to me there are truly people deserving of being recognized as the best at their respective classes. There are also people that none of you really know because it's been forever since you've deigned to group in a dungeon and meet new people. Also I'm limiting my responses to people in single group situations as this is where I feel you are able to demonstrate your abilities. In raids we merely follow through on our strategy and as long as you hit attack/heal/nuke at the appropriate times you are as good as anyone else. Well, this is providing you can KEEP THE GATE DOWN when we are fighting Yeli of course.

Bard --- Elfvis ... he would 3 box with his 60 shaman/monk and have 4 songs going at all times.

Cleric --- To be honest I started a cleric because I couldn't find any worth grouping with and wanted to show people how it was done. Granted I haven't grouped with any of our clerics in single group encounters so I have no basis for judgement. I'm sure all our clerics are great.

Druid --- There many, I can't choose. But, Andaas said no loots if you didn't put him here so Andaas.

Enchanter --- Austryker hands down. Was a sad day for Norrath when he left.

Magician --- I haven't played with enough to notice a standout.

Monk --- Ekan ... you HAVE to meet this guy sometime. He's a phenomenal puller/person. He's only 54 but I have yet to group with his equal.

Necro --- Cinder was a good one for sure. So was this guy named Shatein...

Palidan --- Morel/Kerplop

Ranger --- Of the good ones I've grouped with Aedail was the best..

Rogue --- Exxile ... I hate to admit it but hey, I've known him since before he was Exxile and I guess he turned out ok. :D

Shadowknight --- Darkang ... This guy is simply amazing. Once again this is someone most of you don't know but you really should get to know.

Shaman --- I'm sure there are many good ones but I've yet to group with many that stand out. Although the few times I've grouped with Myztlee I've been impressed.

Warrior --- Drakky is of course a great tank on raids. I wish I could have grouped with him in some dungeon situations but I'm sure he would be just as good. I'd have to say though that my experiences with Barlo and Elkay have also impressed me. Group with Corasa sometime also if you get the chance, he's another of the people that many of you won't know but should take the opportunity to meet.

Wizard --- I haven't grouped with enough that stand out.

Just to repeat - the people I named are ones that I've had the great fortune of knowing and grouping with in a single group setting. I have no doubts that there are others equal and in some cases better than my choices. Unfortunately I haven't had the good fortune to group with them yet. Sadly I doubt I ever will as most of the ones everyone else named rarely xp or do single group encounters. Anyway, you really should get to know the people on this list if you enjoy grouping with good players that you haven't met yet. Just because someone isn't 60 or in an uber guild, or hasn't been playing since beta doesn't mean they aren't worthy of being called one of the best in the game. So, get out there and meet new people, you may just find the next Drakky/Sirensa/Karendra/<add next veteran stud here> LFG in sebilis or guk.

I'd just like to say beforehand that we can only judge those we've worked with. I take all my choices from the old people I knew and played with the closest, back when EQ was more than camping keys and getting equipment. When you needed actual skill instead of a CH button, when there was no summon corpse.


Bard? Windle, ever see this fucker pull in VP?

Cleric? Wyvern, Sinar - For pure tactics and reliability.

Druid? Mutten was the original. I remember my first trip to fear mutten appeared at the portal and said "Look, I just completed my green PJ's"

Enchanter? Ubar / Hali. The only chanters left from my friends IMO. Hali, never forget that fear break.

Magician? Zarxen for old schoolness / strategy. Burumbus for hardcore mod rod production.. and apple summoning.

Monk? Brithrax, Bodhi, Ranoog. Although I didnt know Bodi well, the stories I hear are amazing. Brith is also the man. And Ranoog makes the list for the BOTB win as the underdog.

Necromancer? This one is very close to me peronally, so I think i'd have to split it in two. For pure skill at the class, Xvarious was the man, but for his overall performance in game I'd say Cinder. Zelgie was the man as well, I will NEVER forget that BOTB match... goddamn.

Paladin? Doranin, Korona, Remmen. Dor is just straight up old school auzzie shit, go back to roleplaying fucker. Remmen is not a rogue, hes a paladin.

Ranger? Supa... picture me, level 13 in najena, dueling this decked out fucker in full green plate with something called a "Mistwalker" ... I died real good.

Rogue? Shik... you can backstab with the best of em.

Shadow Knight? Leafweir, Shindar. Leaf for our times in ML, Shindar for his PVP knowledge.

Shaman? Protoss, Hammur. Protoss is the man, was the man, and will always be the man. Hammur was the fat beast soloing in PoM before anyone else knew it existed. And even tho he never shut the fuck up, Riccee knew his way around a shaman.

Warrior? Ffeyde for the oldschool, Drakky for the warriors still playing, and Monsta for the alien geadgear.

Wizard? Graffy, Nuuk, Inizen.

Friendliest? Protoss, if you didnt say Protoss, you never met him. Never met anyone in game like him before or since, and doubt there'll ever be anyone as nice. Also Hammur / Asilia / Cinder are about the nicest you'd ever meet.

Rogue? Lronius de la Mancha. I dont think I have to say much about this guy. He is well known in any game he plays for his knowledge of rogues/ assasin types of characters. He tries other classes but he always ends up playing as a rogue. All for the love of the class. (by the way Lrod the name of that bard on Sol Ro was Tenya, most excellent bard indeed.)

Ranger? Alcadizaar Hands down the best player I have ever seen in my life. Amazing in all levels. The book of knowledge of Hoss. No one more giving, helpful, and pretty much kicks ass in all forms.

Rogue? Lronius de la Mancha. I dont think I have to say much about this guy. He is well known in any game he plays for his knowledge of rogues/ assasin types of characters. He tries other classes but he always ends up playing as a rogue. All for the love of the class. (by the way Lrod the name of that bard on Sol Ro was Tenya, most excellent bard indeed.)

Shadow Knight? Vinilla, Shindar These folks made me look at Shadowknights in a completly different light ( Vile Vidmer sucks!!)

Shaman? Lydia, Thazul my fat buff machine, My vile Bear Karendra, my dear Vegar and last but not least Forty. This is my favorite class besides clerics so I used to watch these players often and have started many shamans but never had the patience, dedication and excellence of execution these folks have.

Warrior? Drakky, Edric, Famor,Torrin, Wai, I dont think I need to say anymore.

I used to duo it with Wyndee. Was a ton of fun. We'd pull 2 shroom patches per aoe. Think we had one aa every 22 mins, each :)

I also was in those crazy ass mankubus groups where half the FG zone was pulled. Met a lot of wizards back then. I think this started my enjoyment of the wizard pull!

Nothing will beat PoF aoe though. I thought they were kidding when they said the first field was inc. Must of gotten 3-5 AA per pull lol.

Bard: Windle was the best bard, when he wasn't pissed about something and actually tried

Cleric: I was always partial to Demii and Shinare. Two great clerics and people all around.

Druid: Ciner and Andaas. Would love to see them work together on something.

Enchanter: Hafez, Hali, Mystrae, Twing. Hafez cause he was the first enchanter I played with, Hali cause I simply respected him for some reason, and Twing cause he's a drunk and shouldn't have been playing, but would still do his job when things went wrong. Myst, though, is easily the best enchanter to me =)

magician: Rillo and Zarxen. Great friends, always fun to be with, miss you guys.

Monk: Brithrax, Bodhidharma. Brith was a great monk, especially when he tried. Sometimes took off, but when he was on he could pull anything. Bodhi was simply bodhi.

Necromancer: Cryonax and Cinder. Cryonax was the best. Cinder, Aside from all his faults, was definitely a good necro; one of the best.

Paladin: Scrith, Lola. Scrith is the friendliest guy you can meet, someone that truly embodies what a Paladin should be. He is always trying to help others and really did his research when it came to Paladin issues back in the day. He works so hard and I will always remember how many times I had to help him kill Lucan before he could get his light stick. Lola was a great Paladin as well; I still remember the screenshot of Lola and Scrith in identical equipment sitting next to each other in Hate. What memories.

Ranger: Celty, Lyynch, Supa, Jaelceti. Celty and Lyynch were inseperable early on in EQ. They helped start ML with myself and a few others. Great characters, lots of fun. Supa was simply THE ranger back on Fennin Ro. Jaelceti was a good friend and someone I really wish had kept in contact.
Oh and andri's ok too.

Rogue: Rogaar, kanf, Shik. Rogaar(sp?) and kanf were good players and just fun to play with. Shik, despite what he turned into, was a fun loving kid and I will always remember him as that person.

Shadow Knight: Helminth. Fun fun fun in a fatty!

Shaman: Forty, Hammur, Svolthoh. I truly respect Forty as a person and he was a damn good shaman to boot. Hammur was fun loving, never complaining kind of guy, always ready to buff when a cleric called. Svolthoh was the original Fennin uber shaman.

Warrior: Khanriale. No one came close to matching her =) Sorry PONY!

Wizard: Prefect, Fazar, Nuuk, Enuo. Pre and Faz were founding members of ML. Was a blast to play this game with them. Nuuk was the best wizard easily. Enuo because he tried so hard to get to know me.
