Rap isnt a art form, its more like something you would squeeze out of your ass and then call a sculpture.

I'd say this is true of commercial rap but there is rap that is very good and artistic and is more true to 'spoken word' form. :o

Check out K-Os if you want some good rap, his new CD (Joyful Rebellion) is awesome. If you want to sample, look for the songs B-Boy Stance! or Crabbuckit. The cool thing about the album is that virtually every song sounds very very different from the last, and some are very heavily influenced by other artists (Man I Used To Be sounds like a Michael Jackson song, in a good way).
But yeah, most rap sucks the ass.

MTV rap is like CMT country - a commercial perversion that cashes in on an invaluable American cultural statement. Too bad.

That video was awfully weird. I've heard better music from a cricket.

Some rap is good. Most of it isn't. Its an acquired taste. That and you can't take it too seriously. I find a lot of rap to be quite hilarious.
Cash rules everything around me, dollah dollah bill ya'all.
