damn junk mail.
i probably should of deleted this damn thing, but instead i opend it.
i must of filled this thing out on some random in sept, and gave them 2 poems i wrote.
Yeah it would be kinda cool going to this convention in fl.
but i mean.. i kiiinda gota pay :thumbdwn:
i dont expect to win the grand prize, but i still think it would be neat to go. and if i do win-- damn! thats like 20 zaphoes

Storm Cloud
She is the storm cloud I suspect.
Follows overhead with close misfortune;
unavoidable-- no more hiding indoors.
Her subtlety pushes me underground.
Did I mention the eyes that froze?
the humor that grew old?
the attention that spoiled?
I am off balance.
I turn defensive,
shout back at thunder.
Pawn Shop
We Pawn today
For tomorrow
Unwilling; the wallet
to the pickpocket.
A forced trade
We glance back
Dwell,
Or feel the profit.
The earnings unknown
The wealth ungraspable
In a trade between dreams
We pawned yesterday
For today.

Our editors and professors will also be searching for new poetic talent. Twenty poets will be "discovered" in the contest reading sessions. These winners will be awarded publishing or recording contracts that will generate international exposure for their poetic artistry.
