I know that Hoss is disbanding, but figured that people could still be reading here that might want a main or alt to have this key.
Just stopped by to let you know that I'm planning an open VP key raid for this Sunday if anyone is interested. Although this is open I'm not approaching it as an "openraid" event. I'm posting invites to guild websites in hopes to avoid some of the problems of /OOC'ing this in PoK.
Since I'm posting to many guild websites I won't be visiting them all back for responses. I will be using this thread on the Druzzil Ro boards to coordinate the activity:

What: New Key to Veeshan's Peak (http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=2904)
When: January 16, 2005. 7:00 EST
Where: Skyfire Mountains at ZI to The Overthere
Who: Anyone level 65+ welcome to attend
Channel: VPKey
The mob and strategies are detailed at: Suled Dar's Shade (http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/search.shtml?id=15620). I estimate we will need at least 3 solid EP+ groups or 5 groups of lesser equipped people. At least one cleric and backup healer per group to heal the Shock Breath PBAEs. I'd say we also will need two 12K+ tanks for the attempt.
Only 48 books will drop on success. If over 48 people show up that need the book then we will lottery for it. To keep things simple each group leader will /rand 100 and the group with the highest number will have their members loot. Then the 2nd highest and on down.
Each toon in a group that has looting rights can loot one book, and can do so with an alt if they so choose. Fighting with mains and looting with alts is fine but you are only allowed 1 book per toon that participated in the fight. Any extras are fair game.
