Reminds me of Phineas Gage (http://www.deakin.edu.au/hbs/GAGEPAGE/Pgstory.htm)

Good lord almighty, sometimes the human body astounds me. How can the body survive that and return to relative normalcy?

or, a better question, how does one shoot a nail into one's skull and not notice?

I was thinking the same thing. Isn't it bad to drink and work?

100k in hospital bills and no health insurance.......America rocks.

Sorry son.....I know you had your heart set on going to college some day, but Daddy shot himself in the head with a nail.

The moral of the story?

Don't shoot yourself in the head with a nailgun.

haha in the "human body can withstand..." theme...

in the middle of the French Civil War Period (mid 1500's-early 1600's) one of the Kings of France, Henry II, was in a jousting tournament, and the wooden lance broke sending a huge piece through his helmet, into his eye, and into his brain.

They couldn't remove it, so their only recourse was to bandage it as best they could, and the King actually went to court for a day or so until he finally died two days later.

Of course it was at the height of subterfuge when factions were going around trying to steal the underage kings to be and influence them....so the royal family now had to be doubly wary of

splinter cells

THANK YOU!!!

Luckiest Guy Ever

umm, i'd think someone without a nail in his skull and 80k in doctors bills would be a tad bit luckier then him...
