My trusty old Galant that's 15 years old and has 155,000 miles on it finally gave up the ghost. Luckily I had been expecting it for some time so I knew what I wanted to replace it with. Don't have a digital camera at the moment so this pic isn't actually my car but it is pretty much exactly the same. I've had lots of cars over the years but never one that I truly loved. I think this one is it :)
Volkswagen Passat GLX 4motion fully loaded. It's got heated seats and mirrors for cryin out loud ;)

I'm not really what one would refer to as a "car person" but that is a sexy car...

Volkswagen, Volvo, Mercedes, and a lot of other European manufacturers have been sucking lately. And American manufactuers continue their long trend of sucking! BMW's one of the few German makers that's continued to do well.

Not to mention, all the new Volkswagens look awful. That Passat looks alright, the new Jettas and Golfs look god awful.

VW are great cars. I know quite a few people with a Passat and they say its the best car they have ever had.
I just bought a 2005 Mazda 6 S Sport with all the goodies. Ill post pics! I plan on getting it all pimped out.

Had it a day and a half now and put almost 400 miles on it hehe. Hopefully I can temper my enthusiasm a bit or I'll go broke on gas. I can honestly say though that this is the first car I've owned that I really love.
Now to put a good stereo in :D

Where the hell do you drive to put 400 on in a day in a half? You realize that's 146,000 miles a year?

Joy Ride!
Nice. I miss cars. But i dont miss paying for gas, if i ever go back to america im just going to ride a bike or get a motorcycle. Here is what im sporting, the cheapest and best way to get around here, about a million of these cruising the streets.

Joy Ride is right :) And in the coming week as soon as one of the amps comes in my joy rides will be a concert on wheels. I don't have any need or desire for a competition class system......but as far as pure listening pleasure I think I'm doing all right.
Subwoofer (sealed box) (http://www.jlaudio.com/subwoofers/13w7.html)
2 Alpine amps.....the MRV-F545 4 channel and the MRD-M1005 single channel.
4 Kicker 6 1/2's - The SS65.2 series.
and last but not least the head unit - Pioneer Premier (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/product/detail/0,,2076_4041_64496601,00.html)
I know that the audio world is very subjective as far as what people think produces the best sound......but I think I'm going to be happy :)

My wife and I test drove a BMW 300xi before we bought her car. I do have to say they are over priced piles of shit. They depreciate very quickly and have a high total cost of ownership.
