I'll be the first to admit, I am not the smartest when it comes to comp hardware and all that shiz. But I do have an HP printer with scanner/copier thing, I opend up paint and then file, then From scanner or camera, once i hit that it says that make sure the connection is connected or something like that, well it is, and I checked it...how can I get a picture uploaded to my comp so I can host it and show yall? please help! thanks

Typically, you wouldn't use your own computer to host an image on the internet.

You can use the screenshots forum here to upload the image for hosting.. just select the "manage attachments" button on the posting window, and browse to the image location on your computer, it will then be uploaded to the forums and hosted on our server.

did software come with the scanner? the software should have some option to load up the image. from there you post to the forum or some other place, maybe a school webpage thing.

Well, back when the printer was newer, I scanned a pic I had taken in England of a Ferrari and saved it to my comp, well, can't get it to F-ing scan now?! And I use Imageshack to host my pics, that bad?

Well, it's not good for porn... started getting the shakes because HardPuppet has been down for so long. I've got to find some way to download and share pr0n... and soon!

Faulk is right, there "should" be some Twain drivers for the device. Along with any drivers, should be some software. Make sure you installed the device before you go scanning things.

If all else fails, what you want to look for on your computer is a slot-like hole about the size of your thumb. That's a USB port. You'll want to unplug the computer from any power source before starting this as well *this is important*. Take a flat tipped screwdriver and stick it into this USB port. Then twist clockwise until you hear a click, that means it's open. From there, you should start wiggling the screwdriver around with a wide arc, just about 180 degrees. You should hear some interesting popping sounds, and maybe something will fall out. Destroy whatever comes out, immediately. (Don't do this, btw)
