I just used a year or two old tube of AS3 (I think) on my HTPC a few months back, and it's working great. I don't think thermal compound goes "bad" really, although it might separate into it's parts. But I doubt that. It's designed to work for years under pretty hot conditions, could you imagine the lawsuits if it only had a working life of a couple years? Everyone's PC after a few years would burn out.

And Vin, us Men would really appreciate it if you'd concentrate on things more conducive to your gender, like sewing and making me a sandwich.
