Try The Faint... not new but not hugely popular either. Wet From Birth and Danse Macabre are the best albums.

Wolfmother - Kind of like White Stipes paying homage to all the classic seveties hard rock bands. Its all over the place but lots of fun.

They've been playing some Gnarles(sp?) Barkley on the radio around here, heard a few tracks off their (debut?) release the other day and it's not too bad.

Wolfmother is good. Check out.. The Sword, RedHorse, & Clutch. Respinning some old Helmet albums is never a bad idea either!

Converge
best metalish band around, yo.
Jane Doe and You Fail Me are the best CDs. Although you might like some of the earlier stuff off of Petitioning The Empty Sky if you like Slayer a lot.
enjoy! I do

So she ripped off Chris Isaac's Wicked Game video (http://youtube.com/watch?v=Ln0U5j--ybg&search=wicked%20games)and layed down some vocals that sound about as real as the kind in a Daft Punk song (http://youtube.com/watch?v=6ar4-TKGyuM&search=harder%20better%20faster%20stronger)...

Blue oyster cult i dont much about them but they have Ballroom blitz
Disturbed is some great music along with Godsmack, and Mudvayne.
And ofcourse Queen, if you dont like queen you should go jump off a bridge= )
Rob zombie gets kinda scary but overall a good band
Last but not least Rammstien is a great band they have a song in (god im a nerd) FF10
