Basically, it's a function to implement one of the most elementary routines on any system. One of the biggest complaints to naive coders is that they are implementing something that's already been done a million times before, and usually it is horribly inefficient.

But his comments after the post are what makes this thing hilarious:
"If I don't remember wrong, there is also a function to rock your face."
