Nice pic of the Elise, most make it look butt ugly. Which it is in person, anyway. At least, the grey and orange ones I've seen. I like the dark color on that one.

I love the Elise regardless of the angle. It's the ideal sports car, no frills, just performance.

Gotta love the 0-3000 rpm range on the tach, which takes up little space lol.

Oh shit yeah, it's an amazing car for sure. It fits my philosophy of what a sports car should be perfectly. If it doesn't increase performance, it's thrown out. The only fly in the ointment is the roadster part, but for marketing reasons they will sell like 10 times more of them than the Exige, which IMO is far better looking and faster to boot.

Now if the motherfuckers at Transport Canada would just let Lotus bring the Exige to Canada so I could buy one, goddammit. Bumper requirements my ass...

actually the elise wants to be what the TVR range is. TVR make a point of not meeting eu standards for safety (things like abs, air bags aren't part of the car) because they have the philosophy... just don't crash. They instead minimize weight in every way possible.

They are hairy lairy beasts of cars and you certainly take your life in your hands if you don't know how to drive very well, but if you've taken a few performance driving courses they are a treat.

The only one I have driven is the sagaris and it makes my sv feel like a ponderous waste of a car.

If I were buying a car for the track on a limited budget it would be the tvr (or an ariel atom). If I were buying one for a semi-daily driver it would likely be one form of a lotus.
