Not so different future, a drug called substance D is rampant, the protagonist is an undercover cop infilitrating a shady group but he begins to have split personalities, and takes the drug himself. His mind becomes numb and it's hard to tell which way is up.

The film is done via a really trippy graphic-novel look, where they color over the post-film stock with like crayons. Overall, it's kind of a "Big-brother, the government knows what's best" type movie. Kind of numbing, get's you thinking a bit, but overall I think it's a dedication to "drugs are baaaaadd, mmkay."

The book is really trippy!! Lots of plot twists. Very much worth a read.
