I moved some forum locations around today; bringing a few non-gaming topics into the top public forum area, and also moving some inactive forums into archive areas.

I'm curious if the additional forum display length in the top/public area is too much?

Also, sort of curious about how other forums run that have hidden/private forums along with visible/public forums - is it normal to have the visible/public stuff at the top; or should I make those appear underneath all of the current/relevant private forums?

Thoughts/comments?

I've used many different forums, both WoW related and not. I like the current layout of these forums more than most.

Yeah, that's normal.

I wondered why the other day when I went to check the boards all I got was a monkey listening to music ;)

How about a Console Gaming or maybe a generic "Other Games" topic?

Is there any reason for members to see the recruitment tab? We can't read it anyway...

You mean where people post applications?

You have the same access as people applying; I suppose I could hide it from you, and not applicants, but that seemed silly.

That's exactly my point. The only post I can see in there is the post I made to apply.

Well.. that's sort of my point.

Here's your options:

1) I hide it from you.
2) I leave it as it currently is.

Hiding it from you completely seems silly; because if you have a friend who's applying, you being able to at least point him in the direction of where the application forum is can be helpful.

Meh, fair enough.
