So, I decided that I was bored, tired, and just plain finished with my old ui.

After a few headaches, as well as hours, this was the result.

A pretty noticeable difference, both in the look and the feel during play. I think I like it.

yeah theres loads of problems with this UI.. just little things- overall playing is good, but little things like no cast bar, not being able to right click peoples pic to send a tell not a raid group display [for sumoning peoples] things like that makes it not to good for raiding..

Other than that, I can't believe everything you need is located at the bottom of your screen. Its TOO barren.

The key to Quartz is turning off all the junk it comes with. When used as a basic casting bar, with the latency visual to allow you to maximize spellcasting, it's a very functional tool.

Fir, have you heard any news on that cool UI that you linked a few months ago? It had cool fade in and out type popup effects and such... I'm sure its in the forums somewhere but I'm too lazy to go searching

Redeemus - you might want to try Thellor's approach on UI... ALL DEFAULT. It will most likely help you with your FPS. Also, when you get a chance, I'd like you to take a screen shot of your Multisampling configuration under VIDEO.

VIDEO > MULTISAMPLING > SCREENSHOT. I want to see which setting you have checked.

Honestly - if you want, just have 2 external Mods. CLIQUE and PALLY POWER. That's it. Use the default Raid Frames. I assure you, you'll have at least 15 FPS even in the boss fights. I run a Pentium 1.2 GHZ with 512 MB ram and i get this much FPS on it in raids. I used this to play Everquest in 1999 and it still runs WOW.

You just have way too many mods ...

I can attest that addons have a definite affect on performance. I recently disabled all of my mods due to some problems one night, and my framerate increased by 15-20fps.

Is there a way for me to move the location of the tool tips that pop up , or rather the name of someone i cursor over? Right now when i cursor over someone there name and class pops up in the bottom right corner, i'd like it to be somewhere else that i designate.

First, I would turn off all the SPECIAL EFFECTS and MISCELLANEOUS EFFECTS in the bottom of your VIDEO SETTINGS.

Next I would probably put in low detail your SPELL DETAIL as well as other settings you have that you currently set on max.

Third, whenever you play in WINDOWED MODE, you lose a lot of FPS. So play using non-windowed mode.

Finally, your resolution is kinda weird. It shows 800x600 even though it doesnt look like yours is coz anythign 800x600 shouldn't look that nice. I would also remove some Mods like your Unit Frame mods (Xperl or Pitbull) as they have a drastic effect on your FPS.

Like I said in the other thread, try to do a minimalist UI (mostly Blizzard Default) and you should see a drastic improvement in FPS - at least until you can get back to your better computer.

One modification I'd make to Angelie's suggestion would be to turn all the detail to low except spell detail. You should set it to around medium since there are a few boss spell effects that you miss if you have spell detail set to low.

I know most ppl say that you should be able to notice when your health is dropping, but it helps to see the pillar of fire that is burning your ass to cinder.

Hmmm - I have it on low and I don't see any difference in my monitor compared to medium (on my ass PC anyway). You can make this comparison by casting Rain of Fire or Hellfire and see if you can see your spell graphics.

when i dont play in windowed mode...my mouse cursor does not display, it actualy flashes so much i cant even tell were it is.

so...yeah idk how that can be fixed its completley odd, otherwise id be playin wow in the way it is normaly.

Maybe you should download a mod that changes your cursor into something else. The Arrow pixel graphics might be messing up your cursor. I'm not sure if there's a setting in the interface or video about the mouse cursor...

However, I know that there are several mods out there that changes your mouse cursor image...

That's odd since I notice a huge difference... if I've got it on low, I don't see a pally's consecrate. If it's medium or higher, I do see it. Same with other spells and boss effects. Note that I've only tried this on my laptop with the Intel X300 integrated graphics chip, so YMMV.
