WotLK - All TBC Raid instances massively nerfed
It seems that the latest build brought an interesting change to TBC instances : all monsters in TBC raid instances had their health points reduced by 30%, bosses included. We don't know yet if this change is final, but below are a few exemples of changes for some of these instances, more values will be added as we go through the instances. Feel free to contribute with your own lists in comments.

Note : The change isn't confirmed by Blizzard yet. We don't know if this change will be pushed live, and we don't know when it will happen but we might see this change shipped with Patch 3.0 before the release of the expansion

These changes will take place when 3.0 lands (Apparently October 14th)

Be nice to see 30% less Boss mob health.

Probably there, to like you said earlier, to help guilds push further. Or might just be a way of allowing groups on beta to go play in the raid instances, since there is no way an organized group of any kind is available on beta :)

It's there becasue when 3.0 goes in, nothing will be balanced at 70 for the mana regen etc we will have and we will all run oom faster and nothing will die.

So, you have a month to kill everything in TBC then start all over again in the expansion. SHWEET~

Never mind, they confirmed. Apparently, boss melee damage is also going down. How boring. This is not happy making.

EDIT: Changed with update

Oh hey, I totally forgot. It looks like the reason they nerfed it wasn't due to DPS output. It's due to healer mana. With the massive nerfs to mana regen, downranking, etc. Healers are looking to no longer have the mana for those long fights.

Lack of mana? Whut? Just get all your Paladins to spec Ret/Holy, and viola! 3000mp5! TeeHee!

Still waiting for my characters to copy over to PTR so I can check out the changes and do some DPS/healing tests on the druid and shaman. Stupid Blizzard takes years to copy the characters.

Anyways, from a personal standpoint, it looks like my shaman's DPS is dropping in the expansion due to multiple reasons:

Reduced +hit% from talents. 6% worth of +hit removed from talents
No addition of LB coefficient modifiers to compensate for nerf to LB coefficient (empowered bolt type talent)
Additional nerf to LB coefficient, beyond 2.4 patch. 94% (pre-2.4) -> 81% (2.4) -> 71% (WotLK)
Synergy with Enhancement shaman's stormstrike nerfed, replaced with synergy with CoE... (20% vs. 10%)
Lack of additional talents increasing +dmg due to gear (i.e. int/spirit->+dmg conversion, etc.)

Obviously, changes aren't complete yet, but it's disturbing to see these deficits and still have Blizzard developers state that "elemental shamans are overpowered" when every test in the beta and PTR point to elemental shamans far, far behind every other DPS class, only edging out the Holy Priest nuker.

Have they said, "In test after test Shaman are doing "Jaw Dropping damage" yet?"

Ah well, at least ya had 1 expansion where you had 4 viable specs that you could be in PVE Kiry, you've always got Paris right? Far as having to spec Resto to Arena and that being about the only viable spec there, join the club.
