In Hoss we play dorfapult. Its fun! All we do is grab the closest dwarf, usually Rhedd, and fling him at whatever uber mob we happen to be after.

Usually what happens is that A) the mob chokes on the dwarf , which is usually Rhedd, and dies or B) the mob devourers the hairy little dorf, who usually happens to be Rhedd.

Either way, its a win/win situation for the rest of the guild!!

We TOSS Dorfs ! You do not throw DORFs, they are far too much like a sack of potatoes to get a good throwing grip....

In Ogguk, we pride ourselves on the one handed over-head ankle toss:

1) Grab DORF by ankle (usually Rhedd),

2) Swing wildly in direction of intended target to create a possible FEAR effect ( save v. FEAR is decreased by 15 if DORF is Rhedd),

3) After adequate velocity is achieved, release DORF (again, preferrably Rhedd) at the apex of your swing.

Given the poor aerodynamics of your typical DORF (Rhedd for example) , the range of the toss is typically less than that achieved by using Gnomish ammo, but the increase damage done (not to mention the benefit of lessening of the DORF population) is usually worth the tradeoff.
