Sighs, i missed the gaming mouse AGAIN at the woot off. If anyone finds a cheap gaming mouse (laser or with more than like 3 buttons), esp at woot.com, you can get it, I'll pay you back immediately. I should have KNOWN there'd be a woot off, I got a newsletter.

So like, do you have to compete against others to get the item they are 'wooting off'?

Other than signing up, which could take a few minutes, and in that time, the item may run out of stock... no, you don't bid against others.

/sigh

I was in the middle of processing the order and had already sent it in...until I found out the color I wanted was unavailable.

I chose the only other option only to find out they are all gone.

So, how big of difference does it make between using a game mouse and a standard mouse?

More sensitivity and better reaction to movement.

Yea, that could be do-able.

Yesterday was a Razer Diamondback 3g for $17, though.

By far the better deal if you can snag one up.

But only if it's the right color?

Don't care what color it is, so long as the color I choose processes before the supply runs out. :-/

You know you can tune the sensitivity of various mice? I bought my Logitech because it's nice and heavy and fits my hand, the rest is user configurable.

Its mostly the lag time between doing something on the wireless mouse, and something happening on my computer. But, if I'm going for a wired mouse, I might as well get a gaming one.

wireless keyboards and mice/trackballs suck ass for me at least.
