Who (of note) has sold, who did they sell to (if known, and also someone of note), and what is the new owner like? Include a brief note if the owner stole the account back, or bought another character to satisfy their EQ cravings.

Strahm was ebayed at some point over the last 3 months, or handed over to a new owner. I lean towards being ebayed, since Strahm now also has a Horn of Hsagra and SoD, I wonder how much those puppies cost. No idea who bought him, I sent a few tells one day cause I thought it was the real Strahm back from extended break, but the person playing him had no idea who I was.

aye tilea zangeif was a RL friend of mine, he sold his account about a year and a half ago and since then it has been resold multiple times. He moved to fennin ro and has a 60 necro over there now.

Also riccee ebayed some time ago, before he was ever in vindication. The original one was a nice guy. Also haeroth is not the original account owner.

haha....thats pretty funny. When we did the pre rotation camp for Peppa's people were calling all over the place getting ahold of guildmates. Never went quite that far with it though:P It still might be one of my favorite eq experiences killing FGs at 5 in the morning with the only 4 people there and awake:P Wouldn't want to do it again though. I was up for just about the full weekend :D

Yea, and we sat there for about 5 hours on a saturday night waiting for him, as we thought he was due to spawn any second. Eventually we gave up and he popped on the sunday night. I still think that someone stole a rage sometime during saturday, but whatever.

It just sucked cause I had Sirensa and Wyvern both accusing (well Sirensa wasn't that bad about it, Wyvern was more "direct") myself and CN of stealing a Ragefire. They thought that because of Kuru's infinite genius, and his "if everyone goes anon, no one will know there are 30+ CN in SolB" plan.

Villrotti: not sure who the present owner is atm, however there was some talk and controversy over this account.

Riccee: once again much controversy over this account.

There has been other dealings and conflicts in the past such as the time Blankar stole accounts by Urgas and feyde and there was some ebayed dealings there aswell.

There is alot more aswell that I can't recall atm.

hehe...no, he didn't ebay. i woke up last sunday morning too early to admit to, so i logged in. i was in EC, and i see shindar, shik, and drakky all shouting "lvl 20 <class> looking for duel". then they decided to form an orc group. some poor hapless noob spent half an hour or more tryin to figure out why he wasn't getting xp with Sir Shindar the Reaver and Sir Drakky the Champion. at the end, they put all their real gear on and one of the two of em gave the guy 50p for being on candid camera :D

K, someone mentioned Strahd <paladin> that got ebayed. Lots of you may know Grabbit. At one point he was the Paladin known as strahd. I dont' know if strahd was ebayed or not, but I know he was/is/something Grabbit now.

I also remember lots and lots of talk about Villrotti. I believe the quote was "Waste of a willsapper" or something to that extent, but he clearly got ebayed. Only a true sped would buy a 60 assassin and use him to farm deathfist belts. I loved that. Was just too classic to forget. I think my favorite comment was "Wow I killed it in one hit". Is that so shocking? I think druids do that at what level 30? right.. ehhe

I tried to message Xantess the othe rnight. I never even got a response. Fasad tells Xantess, "Is Xantess there or did she receive her pay check already?". <Crickets> Fasad tells Xantess, "could you just say you're ebayed so I can leave you alone or something? I was just wanting to thank xantess for her help when I was a nubi and offer her a duel." No answer, and if you knew the "real" Xantess you know she'd have responded to teh duel thing.

Ebay is obnoxious. I hate when someone goes from the coolest player in the world to teh druid that forgets what evac is. Hell I remember grouping with a 55 druid at the king camp in sol b and wondering why he was there. Only to realize we were like his guinea pig group while he learned to "play his new character".

I like the concept of this thread. Fun to hear about all these people I didn't know were ebayed.

Rereading that it sounds mean at times. Xantess was friend of mine. So either she has forgotten me, or was ebayed. Either way. She was really cool, and highly entertaining. I'm not trying to put her down or anything. I just think if you bought a character off ebay you might as well admit it so you get the respect you deserve. GMs should just over name changes to ebayed characters. Then at least it would avoid the confusion. They can't stop the ebay, but they might as well make it livable hehe

Sorry, there are a lot of off topic posts to search through. Both Strahm and Strahd are mentioned, and I dunno one from the other specifically. I wasn't implying they were related. I know for a fact Grabbit was Strahd though. I knew him as a previous character, and I did a few transfers for him between the characters. As well as having a few conversations as to how much paladins suck. The final straw for him was when some level 56 ogre warrior beat him in a duel the day after some guy just about stole his sword of the morning <when it was uber> because of a disarm bug that put it on the ground.

Villrotti and Jayse are both under the control of My RL Family, Uncle and Cousin to be precise. While I will admit Villrotti was ebayed once, he was not ebayed a second time due to the fact that I was unable to find a buyer for the account. Jayse however was never ebayed, The Original Jayse is a close RL friend of mine, and when it came time for him to leave EQ he left the account with my cousin, who still played frequently. Since I no longer had the desire to play and was unable to sell the Villrotti account, I gave it to my uncle so that he could play with his son.

Reguardless of how much any of you may detest me I don't feel this warrants any adverse treatment to either of the two current account holders, because to the best of my knowledge they both play to have fun and don't interfere with any of you. Anyways that is about all I came to say.

Like what I did isn't common knowledge, I'll go ahead and say it reguardless of the fact that you already know "the MEANS" of ebaying the same account twice. The account was "stolen" from the original owner by myself after a less than pleasant exchange between the two of us, I don't like being threatened. It's certainly not something I'm proud of, and I'm sure there's a special place waiting for me in ebayer hell.

The only thing that I care about is that Jayse and the person who played him never ebayed, so I don't see a reason for him to be posted in your "Big list of Ebayers We Hate", I'd have him post himself but he no longer lives with me. I couldn't care less about HOSS, Druzzil, or Everquest. The only reason I'm posting here is because I was asked to.

/Sigh.....This is an old thread , but I just happen to come across my name mentioned in it.

I don't even play on Druzzil anymore (moved with Vindi), but I am so tired of the rumor that I do or once owned Strahd. I have never purchased or sold an account.

The real deal is this.

Lagnappe bought Strahd from Teeniee, Teeniee from Teeniee, and several other characters. He even intended to purchase Dont
(Hoss barb rogue) Which I spoiled by getting Lagnappe to admit in tells and sending the screenshots to Hoss's officers via email.

I still have the screenshots for those of you who would like to dispute it.

Let's rewind for a moment. 2 1/2 years years ago.

I met Lagnappe in EC while I was trying to twink Grabbit. Kaxmax is correct that I was originaly Silveroak (ranger). Lagnappe had a lot of nice gear and I asked him how he got it. He said he had several 60 characters and he and his buddies farmed rares in Seb.
We talked for several weeks and he offered to have me play one of his characters to group with him in Seb. I had no 50+ character at the time and had never been to Seb so I accepted. We grouped a few times , but played at different times of the day so it didn't really go anywhere.

I used Strahd as a transfer mule in ec for the couple weeks that I had access to him. Yes, I did lose a duel in EC , and a sword to a disarm bug. When I played Strahd It was my 1st time playing a 50+ character, and I would send all my level 40ish frnds tells. "hey this is silver, check this char out!", so that may be where some of the confusion comes from.

Anyway. Close to a month after I had been given accesss to strahd I found out Lagnappe was not the original owner, and I told him I no longer wanted to play Strahd. He became upset and questioned me. I simply told him I didn't want to play a character he bought. He immediately changed the PW and we were done with it. A week or so later he went to public message boards and flamed me for stealing his red dragonscale breastplate and FB earring from Strahd. He found the two items on one of his many characters a couple weeks later. He did privately apolgize for his accusations, but never posted his apologies on those public boards. Our friendship pretty much ended and I have no idea what happened to Strahd.

This has gone on long enough. Fasad, please stop saying you "know" for a fact I owned Strahd. When in fact I never did.

I say again, I never bought, sold, or traded an account. Strahd NEVER belonged to me, nor has any other account besides the one I have had since I started playing EQ. I simply had access to him for about a month.

I think the orignal purpose of the post was to point out and discuss people who ebayed on Druzzil. Biggnose isn't on that list is all I'm saying.

I'd have thought that everyone knew that I am not Danny, and that Gazel and I talked to him for a hellishly long time about getting back into EQ, and all that stuff. I mean, Gazel and I would talk about it in Seekers guildchat...

But no, that wasn't me running around in Oasis, or in Cazic Thule, or leaving corpse trains through Guk. I do think I've always done right by Danny, and improved the excellent reputation he started.
