Guildwar(s) on Druzzil

Any other guilds out there have any interest in a guildwar, at least on a trial basis?

I believe it works thusly:

Guildleader A and Guildleader B /guildwar each other, and set a number of hours/days for the duration of the war. Until that time is up, all members of guild A are set +pvp to all members of guild B and vice versa. I think that /guildinvite (as well as leaving the guild?) is disabled for the duration of the guildwar, to prevent ringers, etc. Is this correct; anyone have a link to the rules?

/guildwar "name" "duration"

- Initiates a guild war against the guild of the Guild Leader which appears in the "name" field. "Duration" sets the duration in real days for the guild war. This defaults to one real day if left blank. The opposing Guild Leader must send the same command with the "name" of the enemy Guild Leader to fully initiate the conflict.


/guildpeace "name"

- Ends a guild war before the duration has expired. "name" is the name of the opposing Guild Leader. Both sides must send this command to end the war prematurely.

Verant just needs to have PVP day. Once or twice a year the whole Server goes PvP for a day. Or even do it once a week for an hour. When I played UO the servers would go down every day for couple hours. The last hour or so before the server would go down, didnt get saved. So whatever you did for that last hour didnt count. We would all go nuts and start killing everyone and not care. It was a huge blast. Gave everyone a chance at the end of the day to whip out their best gear and go beat the hell out of someone. Or get em killed with tons of mobs. Was great just had to be careful because if you started too soon it would save it.
