I'm sure this is probably gonna turn into a Google App meant for business. But does this online collaborating include VoIP (ie. free VoIP)? I started watching the "looooong video" but I got impatient. And no, I didn't get a beta invite either.

No invite here either. I currently use gotoassist for everything.

I watched the first 30 minutes or so, Wave looks really cool. I especially liked the idea of "trees of conversations". And being able to split the conversation tree at any time, was really cool too.
The playback feature of how the conversation evolved over time was great. You can see how the whole thing played out from start to finish. If you came into the conversation late you can really get the context of how it went down.
No wonder they had to create their own protocol for this, sending packets character by character is going to use up a lot of bandwidth - I hope their protocol has good compression.
What I'm really interested in is how generic they can make this API, such that you can apply this same philosophy to other web related media. For instance, can I write a game using their API that runs solely in the browser, that lets people interact with the game and each other on the fly, with playback built in to the whole thing turnkey?
Just thinking about this, but...Twitter should be nervous cause I see it's model being destroyed in front of my eyes. Likewise for Facebook and MySpace...basically any static, linear "conversation" engine should start looking for jobs...

I would really like to get a Hoss Wave started (of course, once one of us is lucky enough to get an invite and start sharing the invite love; each user is getting 5 invites initially, so hopefully people can share to friends as well as at least 1 Hoss'r :p ).

Facebook, Twitter, & MySpace could always host their own wave server and modify it to do whatever they want. Wave is suppose to be open source.

I suppose but...Google sells their servers for a shit ton. My government project wanted to buy a couple enterprise google search servers and couldn't afford it.

I've got 16 or so invites as well... so far I'm pretty unimpressed. It's not quite ready for day to day use.

Welllll....
After graduating with a BA in Anthropology I started looking for work in a tragic economy. This yielded a string of odd jobs. The nadir of my experience was being a doorman and a janitor for a luxury condo. just outside Philly. There are some CEOs that live there as well as a few of the 76'ers. I would get yelled at for not opening their car doors. Anyway, this experience was a bit of a catalyst for me looking into higher education.
Currently I have a new job (data entry for a nonprofit) and I am applying for an MPH (masters of public health) with a focus in epidemiology. Missed UCLAs deadline, but i'm looking good for the other schools.
Game wise Llain talked me into Aion as of... 2 days ago. Hopefully It won't ruin my life. Only got it because I finally got back my GRE scores back :P EXCITING RIGHT?!
