I don't think the Lich King ending is quite as bad as the Druzzil Ro thing because they started setting up Bolvar way back with wrath gate. There are even hints of it during the Yogg-Saron encounter and when you first enter ICC. The Druzzil Ro thing was totally deus ex machina though. Was Druzzil ever mentioned at all during pop besides the very end? I don't think she was but I might be wrong.

I do kind of wish the Lich King's death was a little more epic, but I've only seen this video. Does more happen in the game engine?

Yeah, the 10% mechanic and the ending of the fight is pretty epic -- I actually got chills the first time I saw it. The stuff inside Frostmourne is sorta cool too.
