Good God. I have never experienced anything like this. Seeing the flash from 3 transformers blowing up reminded me of a war movie or something. Thank jeebus the chair that gets me up/down stairs has a backup battery. Whew.

A few exploded near Eugene a few months back, I was going for a walk in the early morning and saw them from miles away, they lit up the sky.

High voltage electricity is nothing to mess with. A contracter with a brand new 10 wheel crain was lifting a heavy peace of equipment onto our building. They had it in place a day before and the normal driver came early to test it out (see the diff from his new/old one).

He ended up accidently touching 2 power lines and this 30 ton machine literally jumped up from the pavement. It was completely totalled and we had to contract another. I saw it before and after and I wouldn't want to be anywhere near high voltage...
