Hey guys... been out of the loop for a bit, figured I'd drop by and say hi (and let you know what I've been up to since I quit playing WoW).

I've been in the studio a little bit with my new band. We just finished up a 5 song EP due to release on July 9th. You can check it out for free on all the usual suspects.

(And yes, the name was shamelessly inspired from an old Druzzil Ro guild)

Hope you guys take time to give it a listen, we've been hard at work. We're playing next week at the Famous Monsters of Filmland convention in Indianapolis next week, should be a good time, check it out!

This is a huge step up from the last band Jay. Love love love Murda when the shotgun cocks. Singer seems heavily Slipknot influenced.

Should get an itune account, make some vids on youtube and get some hits along with playing out. Probably start selling some music there.

We've got the ball in motion for ITunes (and amazon.com/cdbaby for physical CD purchases). I just sent the tracks to a friend for a second mix and some mastering, should have them back on Monday and uploaded to ITunes ect. shortly afterwards.

We plan to shoot a bunch of video this coming weekend at the FM Con, expect lots of updates in the following weeks.

This is my first gig as a bassist, I'm digging it so far, even though I'm not as good at it as I am guitar. I get to lay back, hold it steady and sing some backups every once in a while. Pretty comfortable.

I am really impressed with the mixing as is. Don't go to over board!

Actually I think the overall mix is the weakest link here. Sounds like you have the instruments centered with the vocals panned full left and right. I'd put the lead vocals center mix, backing vocals split left/right. Bring down the bass level a bit and push it out split left/right about 1/2 way between center and full left/right. Your guitars also need to get rid of their low end. Bass fills the bottom end just fine. Having guitars anywhere other than mid/highs causes the final mix to be muddy.

Overall the songs are good, but the mix needs some tweaks.

I agree =p The whole thing was rushed to get a demo out before our show this last weekend. (Recorded and mixed in half a week) Better than showing up empty handed! After this weekends shows we're taking a break to do some non rushed recording and mixing. Much easier now that we actually have a drummer instead of multiple stand-ins!

The mix will improve, we're bringing in a producer this time around. No real ETA, but the new remixes of what we have now should be out in a couple weeks.

Thanks for the responses and honest feedback! We're ready to take what we learned and apply it to the real (full length) CD.

Long time no see! Still tempted to come back and play, but for now time is short.

Speaking of short...

A short video from the Famous Monsters Convention 2010.
