Perfectly legal to own an automatic in the US, Lilcix. You have to have a class 3 license which requires that the FBI crawl up your nether orifice and jab you with long pointy sticks to see if any thing indiscreet falls out. You have several other hoops to jump through and a bunch of money to pay. As much as I enjoy firearms, a class 3 just isn't in the cards for me. Too much trouble, money, etc.

Now 15 foot tall rockets with several pounds of thrust behind them...that I am into. My pocketbook will tell you ;>

P.S. If it weren't against our safety code, I suspect we could launch Gary Coleman to a few thousand feet but the code says no vertebrates. So the only way we could launch him is if he were to become a lawyer. Then he would be spineless and we could launch him legally. Hey Gary! Pass the Bar! ;>
