I bet only 10-20% of hoss has even close to that much =p When I left the game, The most I had ever had at one point is 56k.

My average was around 5k =p

Melee may have a bit of cash, but yeah for clerics, mages, and some of the other classes they are spending 1000's of plat weekly just too keep up on reagents, sometimes even borrowing out of guild funds because the cash is just not there.

Oh for sure sometimes people chip in and help out. like I said some melee "may" have.

I recall that during the week you would have your ntov raids and your kael raids with AOW and other stuff thrown in and the weekly costs of raiding would be very high.

I can't even fathom how much it would cost per guild for all the thex val raids?

I think on the top end of the spectrum, our raid costs were upwards of 50,000 plat per week. Although pretty sure we eclipsed that during a recent horrible week in Vex Thal where we had no necro around for numerous coffin CR's (SK CR rocks!).

lol why do u spend that much?!? i spend all my money cause im a dumbass yo, well lately i have because ive seen good deals on the bazaar and i even buy things i cant use :( but not like 1k a week, why dont u guys sell stuff in the bazaar, get lotta money that way

Everyone at the raid gets buffed with Aegolism and/or PotG+Symbol from start to end at the cost of peridots (210 plat per stack of 20), and people die during the raid which require they be rebuffed.

Clerics cast Divine Intervention sometimes which requires emeralds (about 75 plat per cast).

Mages use the Call of the Hero spell to bring late people to the group, as well as allow the raid to be more mobile (we've gone through 150+ pearls in a day at about 5pp each).

Sometimes we all die which may require a coffin CR (68.5 plat times 50 people... or double that when there is no necro around).

Raid costs can add up fairly quickly.

As a melee, I rarely loot even in small groups. I prefer that clerics/ench/mages etc. loot the cash items because their component costs are so high. I also donate many of the few items that I do loot to the guild fund to cover the costs of expensive components and coffins.

I also give a lot of items away and I'm happy to help but beggars just bother me. I never begged for anything. When I was a low level I earned the plat to buy my items and/or camped for the items I wanted, I certainly didn't expect higher level people to give them to me.

I currently have 8kp in the bank and that is the most plat I've had ever.

Oh yeah and SK Corpse Summons rocks!

Uhhh - Is your charisma negative? ;D Emeralds don't cost anything close to 37.5pp each. Watch out Hosslings, the interest rate at Bank-O-Andaas has obviously skyrocketed out of control!

Emeralds don't cost 37.5pp either. They cost closer to 10pp. 37.5pp is one-half of 75pp which is what you said DI costs to cast (it takes 2 emeralds, not one, so you can see the mathmatical connection)

Doesn't matter really - the costs to raid are very high. Also runes + spellshields = 1 pdot per cast. It all adds up.

They sold a shit load of L60 spell so I'm not really worried about Hoss guild bank.

But raids do cost a lot of pp.
Especially CR. Coffin are just a drag if you don't have a necro. And some needs 2 coffin, like Vestax, 1 for his body, 1 for his shiny blue dildo. :D

Hah, raids cost so much it's freaking crazy, they need to put in something like guildcards where you get a discount when you buy in excess of 200 of one type of regeant at once. /nod

Oh yeah, and it only gets worse when you try to be helpful and buy a few stacks of dots. Nobody told me that the average on dots wasn't 16pp or so. My grot mask killed my bank till I upgraded =/

"Hey guys, got 10 stacks of dots, only cost me 4k!"

It always blew me away when I was a newbie how the higher level people at the time were such assholes, then I caught up and understood. You can only deal with so many people asking you to give them your no-drop stuff and calling you greedy because you won't show it to them in the trade window before you snap and tell one off. Compact that with the fact that people don't learn when you tell them "no, you can't have anything, earn it yourself and play the game" and continue to spam you with "do u have ne thing 4 me?" while inspecting you nonstop, I totally understood where those level 50's were comin from.

That drove me freaking nuts, I avoided EC like the plague for most of my time playing EQ because of it.
