OK.. right off the top.. if this is 'Nu-Metal' then there is hope for the genre yet. TrustCompany pushes out heavy riffs with melodic hooks and choruses (Chorii?) that suck you in bigtime.. At least they did for me.
Most radio stations are drilling 'Downfall' into your head these days, and while it's a good song, the standout tracks for me are 'Hover' which has a very Deftones kind of vibe to it, 'Slipping Away' which couples what I like about Linkin Park with King's X type vocal harmonies, and 'The Fear' which teeters dangerously on the edge of being a ballad but still keeps it pretty heavy. All the way through this CD is loaded with great vocal harmonies, heavy guitars, and serious hooks.
I'd pick these guys to be the breakout band of 2002 in the hard rock world..
