The Death Ray<tm> is a very good weapon, and has been used to kill some uber mobs when we were short a few peeps. I know, you might say it's an exploit. Well it's not! VI made the Death Ray<tm> figuring no one would be dumb enough to play an erudite cleric. Guess they were wrong. I have, however, been nerfed slightly. Death Ray<tm> takes AA batteries now and VI hasn't implemented those yet. =/

i was keeling some gnomes and "duracell AA batteries" dropped. no drop though, and they identified as "Death Ray <tm> powersource"

they're really rare drop you have to kill the dude next to the PoD in Ak'anon
