Check out lucy.fnord.net!!!!! Looks like the new lvl cap will be 65.

More to come soon!

They are starting to add lvl 65 spells on test atm. Only +60 wizzy one I see is Shield of the Arcane. Looks like a new rune. Some bard songs have been tweaked to scale up to 65. New lvl 65 dot, pet and charm for necros. Some chanter spells and some new mage spells, I am sure more to come!

Faction isn't all that bad if it's used right, ie, a normal progression takes place. Velious was well designed, just a lot of uber-guilds wanted to kill all the content for ph4t l3wtz, and that destroys the normal balance of the factions. If everyone went through the motions of being on thurgadin first till they all had dain rings and the quest gear, then went to dragon till they all had st keys and quest gear with a few tormie head rewards thrown in, then finished by setting up on giant, faction would be a smooth progression. Sadly, dain is the easiest of the velious bosses, then tormax, then yelinak, and a lot of people wanted the ntov lootfest asap. Of course, I hated giant faction, largely because I had to rework it back up from scowls to ally around 15 times. That's what happens when you got your fingers in all the pies at once I'm afraid =/

Imagine if they added a 99% xp rez at 69, that would truly be somethin eh?

The lvl 65 rez should be a 200% exp return rez, area of effect, cost 1 mana, and have a 1 sec casting time.

This way, the entire guild can be plvled to 65 by one cleric and player can just enjoy the content, instead of spending countless hours lvling... AGAIN!!!

They actuall verified the level 65 on their website, as well as more alternatve advancement, though it seems the new AA will be planes only.

They've also vowed to get rid of "time sinks", but well, we'll see.

EQ has been a one giant timesink since Kunark.

Yeah, you only have to do most time sinks once but there are so many of them, expect more keys, countless experiencing, and hundreds of hours doing nothing but mindless killing in every expansion Verant makes.

That's not timesinks, that's a game. A game is a timesink really, it eats time and is supposed to - to a certain extent all games are repeating the same thing over and over, and yes it gets boring. But you don't see anyone screaming TIMESINK over Quake2 after he completed the single player missions for the 6th time.

If you get bored after a few months killing stuff - quit, it's not the game for you. The game won't change saying it's a big timesink.

Some people actually think these so called "timesinks" are fun, and the timesinks are EQ. If you consider EQ one big timesink, then it's probably time to stop playing - because it seems you're not enjoying the game very much anymore.

Oh, and this post was not directed to you Famor, or anyone else in this thread, more directed to everyone in general :).

The only timesinks I mind are the ones that require you to spend countless hours camping green mobs. Make the timesinks challenging and you get no complaint from me for the most part.

Game = doing something for hours on end that you enjoy doing, and furthers your character's development

Time Sink = doing something for hours on end that isn't particularily fun, and is only there to slow your character's development down.

I've already pretty much taken that advice
