Just downloaded the demo this morning, the game seems very cool, if you are into that sorta thing. Normally I am not actually, but the fancy graphics are sucking me in :/.
Anyone else playing it at all? I think ima set up a dedicated server on my secondary comp, if anyone wants to come play! Still figuring the game out atm.
*edit*
bleh, cable sucks ass for running a server, goddamn my shitty upload speed!

Good looking. Bad feeling. I hate the UT weapons. I like BF1942 alot more :)

To add on that comment though, I do hate the way an AA gun can take more hits from a tank than any other tank. And how the AA gun can outgun tanks easily 1on2.
And how the anti-sea gun can point towards land in some maps. Like if you stretch them to their far right/left. Or on Omaha Beach when 2 people can pretty much keep a force of 20+ from charging up to the streets since the respawn is too far a run with no cover.
Oh, and the M10/Tiger tanks unbalance the maps alot when one side gets them in their home base and not the other. And the sniper rifle is gay. That's all! :p

sucks. Played it last night. On my Campus we had about 20 30 people in one game. And it well sucked.

Gee, that's a great insight, now I know exactly why the game sucks! Thanks, I'll stay away from it for sure!

For the most part, the demo is quite solid, although there's some minor nagging bits~
The DM map set outside, the CTF and Bombing Run maps are all really cool, if not graphically, then more in the gameplay department. There's one DM map that just feels like Q3 rehash, but it's fairly well done.
The adrenaline feature ~ haven't totally figured it out, seems fairly cool though.
As stated, some of the weapons feel wrong. The goo gun/shock rifle/chain gun/link gun all feel odd compared to most fps'. The rest are moderately solid, like the flak cannon/lightning gun.
The translocator now has a refresh time :| Weak manuever!
The graphics are quite incredible, and it seems to run fairly well on a gforce2. Other than that, nothing revolutionary.
I'm still waiting on DNF though :/

UT 2k3 sucks, same thing as UT, just in a new box that costs more, reminds me of all those street fighter games back when I played SNES.
Street Fighter 2, Super Street Fighter 2, Super Street Fighter 2 Alpha, etc.
same thing in every game, maybe 1 more level, or 1 more hidden character, or if your lucky, you could play as Acuma(sp?) in one of them.

Akuma or Gouki =)
The alphas were by far the worst in the streetfighter series. Power meters that build up as you get your ass kicked so you could win with one lucky combo = ghey.
I never liked unreal, still no urge to play ut2k3 =/ But BF1942 is amazing, extremely fun if both teams are pretty even.

Dont like it much way too many eyecandies on those weapon effects for me makes it hard to aim in the end also seems that lots of weapon have a small delay between press/fire.
Finally i dont like the double straffing/jumping feature makes movement look pretty weird.
On the good sides id say i like the cannnball mods and the bombing run has fun on those on servers :)
Unimpressed. It appeared to be just the same old thing over again, just prettier graphics.
Anyone know what the adrenaline is for? I was watching over my brother's shoulder and didn't get what it did.

once you get 100 adrenaline, you can do a combo. examples are speed, invisibility, uhm, I think another doubles your rate of fire.
haven't really looked into what the key combos are though, I think they are posted somewhere.
And seriously, play a few games of Bombing Run, it's a total blast, really really damn fun.

Read them somewhere, forget the source though :/
When you hit 100 you can do:
Speed~tap forward 4x
Regen~tap backward 4x
Um, there's two others comboed forward 2x, backward 2x and backward 2x, forward 2x, forget what they do, though

Invis is one for sure, some guy named Chris owned a whole server with that one... I also read about the double rate of fire one, I think Cliffy B mentioned it. And I also thought there was a running speed one too, cause I saw some guy whipping around with golden streaks around his feet one time.

I actually find it kinda fun. Probably not as fun as BF1942 (as long as you aren't playing with a bunch of smacktards), but it's fun enough to keep me occupied. The gameplay has a more solid feel to it than the first one and is also faster-paced. The weapon setup is either a love it or hate it issue, some people don't like seeing the same old while others think if it isn't broke, don't mess with it. All in all I probably won't be buying the game, unless it ends up being really really polished.
It's too bad they didn't get to include a Domination map with the demo to gauge interest and get feedback on it, that was my favorite gameplay type. And I'm sad to see them take out the Assault gameplay mode. :(
forward, forward, forward, forward - speed (and higher jumping)
forward, forward, back, back - berserk (increased rate of fire)
back,back,back,back - booster (regen)
right,right,left,left - invis (self-explanatory)
There's a little workaround floating around out there that lets you use the redeemer in the demo. Pretty fun stuff watching people get stripped of flesh and turning into skeletons. :D
