First, find some gnomes, this is the easy part.
Second, get a weapon that procs knockback. the further the knockback, the better.
Now, each team takes a gnome and, one at a time, begins to swing. Every time knockback procs, it is considered a "swing".
Count how many swings from the tee off point to the "hole", and the lowest swing amount wins.
Other rules: You need to have a cleric for rezzes. If you kill your ball, its a 5 stroke penelty and you must get it rezzed.
If your ball moves on it's own, 5 stroke penelty.
If a mob agro's your ball, you must protect it.
If you make your ball zone through the wong zone line (if zoneline is your "hole") 5 stroke penelty.
Suggestion zones to try gnomegolf in:
Greater Fay, in Kelithin: Gnome-mini-golf anyone?
South Karana: great open course from bridge to splitpaw.
Steamfont: can ou make it from ak'anon to the windmills?
Iceclad: across the iceflows from port in to gnolls.
I figured you guys might want to try the Dorf version!
