FINALLY!! After releasing 2 cd's of hits and misses, showing potential but never really hitting the mark, Godsmack delivers the complete package. Faceless is easily their best release, and has absolutely no filler tracks whatsoever.
Standout tracks for me are:
2 - Faceless
3 - Changes
10 - I Am
But really.. there are no weak tracks here at all.. Oh.. one other thing.. Godsmack has brought back something that's been missing from most 'mainstream' rock music for about 6 years now. Guitar solos.. In today's 'anti-technique' music where people are afraid to show mastery of their instrument, this is a nice and most welcome change.. While they're not technically brilliant by any means, it's good to see some actual playing ability again.
Faceless hits the stores on April 8th.
