Well honestly, this idea of riding horses in games isn't anything new, I've read all over people saying EQ stole DAoC's idea (afraid that EQ is stealing DAoCs credit) - I think not, look at UO, look at ideas for most roleplaying games. They all want/have some form of it - Everquest worked on the project of adding horses for a few months obviously; DAoC has had the idea planned, did DAoC make EQ want to add horses? simply - no, I think something well before DAoCs time did so, but I do believe DAoC made them speed up their future project of this enhancement.
