Yes, no primal drops at all anymore, same with SoD's. We did it so we could sell that kind of thing on ebay and player auctions for mad coin because we farmed it for months before!

In fact, there are several classes that can't get their epics anymore :/

Also, waking the sleeper gives cute puppies cancer.

Yeah, they boffowed and made it so getting primal was left up to farming 3 big gay golems and killing some big orange thing for decent (albeit better) aggro control. For a while anyways, they revamped ST, put in 4 new warders that apparently look like Vyemns cousins, threw in a bunch of new items that are kinda similar to the old, quests I guess, and added Prismatic to the loot table, which is like generic brand primal, same stats and effects basically.

Personally, I think primal was the most retarded equipment in the game, and extremely overpowered for coming from such a silly easy zone. If the weapons proc'd something reasonable, I could understand, but Avatar was ridiculous. At best, anything with an avatar proc should be Shaman only, or an Artifact. Not a candy weapon drop that you get 3-4 of per warder. The entire script was a joke, and with the difference in power that having 100 extra attack on every melee in a guild could have, it turned what should have been a "yay the beast is slain!" type situation into "wtf, y so cockblock server?" deal. I still think they should have just retronerfed every single piece of primal into some lesser form sans avatar once the sleeper was awakened, same with SoD's though they weren't nearly as evil overall as primal were.

Though, I still wonder how Rhedd soloed Ventani, he must have used some pathing bug =/ blasted clerics~

Primals was a part of why Luclin was slow for some guilds - avatar across the board speeds up melee dps with 20%.

Primals are broken, I wish they'd delete every single one of em. (Or at least change it to Vengeance III (Worn))

To this day I don't know how or why Primal was not nerfed into oblivion, honestly.

I think you guys overrate primals period :p Avatar doesn't increase anyone's dps by 20 percent, but apparently it does by 11 percent or some such junk. I don't think the vast majority of our melees ever use them anymore.

when we woke the sleeper we were not the only guild who was going for him
we knew vindication was going for them, we didnt know they wanted to farm it, and we didnt know if some other guild would gimp the event if we did leave the other warders up.

the 4th warder drops some very nice loot- and all of our monks at the time got the robe from him!
ML farmed SoD's way more than us, and Baramos sold them on ebay for cash
i think the only sod's we got were:
Torrin, Drakky, LK, Barlo, Stompetta, and umm yeah think thats it

you can get primals but they now have a homosexual name- but hey its about the avatar right?

still to this day the 4th warder fight was the most fun I had in everquest. we spent like 5 hours or more of 1 weekend learning how to kill him and not make clerics over aggro (had 4 clerics so it became a problem) bla bla bla

Just a fyi, you can kill 4th warder without spawning speeper :p Sure you knew that Zappo but didn't appear so from your post.

But it's all ancient history now anyway, right? :)

I think the numbers depend on your class/weapon/setting Til. But even ignoring what effect the ATK has, you have to get to *VT* before you can get an item with a comparable benefit.

I swap primal religiously when XPing, the difference in damage is so huge.

And no, once and for all, Vindication had no plans at the time whatsoever to wake the sleeper. So yes Hoss is evil, and Vindication was the pink flower with the smell of fresh spring.

Hoss = Evil
Vindication = Flower

So from now on, whenever someone asks "Why did Hoss wake the sleeper?" you can tell them the story of Darkstar.
