This list is the biggest pile of steaming horse shit ever :rolleyes: Obviously whoever wrote it was more concerned with who got radio time than about who was actually a talented guitarist. Not that there arent some talented musicians on the list.....but THAT'S the top 100? Give me a break heh.

Yeah, that list is shit. And I don't think it's shit so much because of who isn't on there, or people's order. It's some of the people that ARE on there that demonstrate it's uselessness. I have never played a note on a guitar in my life, so I am not exactly the best judge of talent or artistic merit. But shouldn't they wait, I dunno, a decade or two before putting Jack White anywhere on the list? And while I love the sounds that Tom Morello gets out of his guitar, it's mostly gimmickry and effects rather than talent. *shrug*

The Beatles were miles above anyone before or since. I can't peg 2 other bands that have accomplishments worthy of the same league.

I probably already posted somewhere in this thread heh. Difficult to know what to say as far as the 3 best bands ever goes. The 3 most popular bands ever? The 3 bands that I feel had the most influence ever? Or just the 3 best bands as far as who I in particular like?

The best in the influential category is difficult.....but I would say...

1- The Beatles
2- Elvis Presley
3- Louis Armstrong

The popularity contest?

1- Again...The Beatles
2- Micheal Jackson
3- Tossup between Elvis, Led Zepplin and The Stones

What I like and consider to be the best bands.

1- Dream Theater
2- Nevermore
3- Iced Earth


Of course this is all based on modern times mostly.....hard to discount musicians like Motzart and Beethoven even if they aren't "bands" per se.
