Doesnt take much to run all models. I can run them just fine on my 1.5ghz 1024ram 64meg Video card Laptop. I just think they are dumb looking hehe. Now if he had spells on.... then I would be impressed lol.

I run an overclocked 2700 and Ti4600. Like Vinen said, I don't think it takes that much to run the models, I've never experience any graphic lag other than a little in bazaar -- not in PoEarth, not in PoWater, not in PoAir.

Spell effects on the other hand... they lag, plus I get annoyed by them, so I always have them off. :)

You're not referring to Gogo here are you? Trust me, he gets more than 10 fps ... I highly doubt he is losing ANY DPS due system lag, lol. Although, I know I get more fps than he does :D

I'm really curious about the actual framerates people are getting in some of these zones, with all models on, full clipping plane, etc. Do any of you run Fraps for a realtime frames-per-second display during raids?

I've found that its nearly impossible to get much more than 10 fps in water near Coirnav's walls when you are surrounded by 60 people with all new models.

I will check on the next Coirnav run. I stopped running those programs after I was done overclocking and testing my system, but it surely feels more than 25FPS tho.

Canare's new rig is fast, now I don't know if it's faster than mine, so I'd like to see the results. :)

3D Mark is a cool benchmark software thats free to try. Maybe you can compair your scores to get a more scientific vew of who has the better rig. :D

I refuse to believe anyone has anywhere near 25 fps in the plane of water near coirnav with 60+ people next to them, period. Aalenu had the third highest 3d mark score of their entire database, and still lagged like we do.

Post a fraps screenshot with the fps showing and looking at the raid

I think I get a frame per 2 seconds. Seriously. That is why I try not to pull unless I have to.

3d Mark seems to work off more of the GPU than the CPU, which in EQ is totally opposite imo.

There could also be a difference between, well, class. On raids, I usually look at nothing more than the MT and a few other guys on the side hitting the mob. It could be that a caster in the very back or a tank in the very front having a whole view can cost a lowered framerate. I'd admit, there's obviously a big difference when I zoom out with the third person camera.

Just off the top of my head, I recall the zones with the most lag in the following order: Bazaar, PoTimeA, PoAir, PoEarth, PoWater. I've only done Coirnav once tho, and we still splitted into two groups... I've never tried having everyone together plus all the pulls together, so it could just be different experience speaking. :)
