So here is my cubicle at the Rawkstar office.
Me filling out TPS reports.
Yet more paper work.
Break time! Six days worth of consumables.
Have you been rolling up your rims?
STFU!
I wish I had rockstar hours. :( :note2:
What in the hell did you do to that china?
Have been rolling my rims?
Yes all of those had their rims rolled, all of them LOSERS! It's a scam I tell you!
What did I do to my china?
I played it, and it cracked, and I kept playing it, and it kept cracking, and cracking, and cracking, until it became the lovely china you see today.
Out of all the china's I had access too, it was still the best sounding one.
You want rockstar hours?
Monday, 12 hours
Tuesday, 14 hours.
Wednesday, 10 hours.
Thursday, 12 hours.
Friday, 16 hours.
Monday, 9 hours (cause I finished all the songs!).
Lets just say recordning drum parts for an album is something I am glad I don't have to do every week.
The job does have some perks though, being felt up by drunk teenage girls isn't one of them though.
Welcome to my world!Quote:

did you get that memo about the new TPS reports?
Wait! I made a typo there! It should read:Quote:

There we go, corrected.
yeah, it's always weird to hear people say they'd love to have rockstar hours. Another favorite is: " Oh, I'd love to travel like you do."
No you wouldn't... really... trust me.
Not that any of it is a complaint. Life could be a lot worse than this, and the good DEFINITELY outweighs the bad.
Sometimes the Blonde outweighs the Rest though... so gotta take it in stride.
I'm glad Angriana isn't wearing rose-colored glasses. Give it to us straight!
:confuse:
For the most part, I think it's been pretty even. If my memory of the last couple gigs is accurate, the tally would be 5 dark haired girls, and 4 blondes.Quote:

Although I suppose it's more a byproduct of being so dead sexy, rather than a job perk.
Andri for the love, get out and get some sunlight!
Pretty cool stuff though. At least your job is what you love to do.

They only have light for 3 months of the year, in those northern territories of America Jr.

Oh no, I have it on good authority that I do that for the sole purpose of proving how masculine I am, and how large my E-Peen is.Quote:

Really that should go into the Pretty Girl Thread, don't you think?
If you weren't so mean to your dogs, they wouldn't try to run away from you, and you wouldn't have to go all Misery on their feet!Quote:

WTF?????? :wtf:
See how these rumors get started Andriana?!?!
I do not beat MY dogs. :|
My dogs are rescues from the local GSD Rescue and Adoptions org. in my area. They send me dogs with emotional problems and I help them. I certainly do not abuse animals!
But since you want to know the story here it is: Scroll down if you have ADD.
On Saturday morning, nursing a bit of a hangover, I was getting ready to go to breakfast with Aul at Whole Foods when he says, "let's just pack up and go to the beach." I balked because I had other things I wanted to do but he was dead-set on going, it's his vacation so I relented. We packed up the car, went to breakfast at Whole Foods, and did some shopping for odds and ends for beach going meals.
We're happy to be making pretty good time (breakfast for me is rarely a formal affair) but when we get out to the parking lot, it's pouring down rain. So I ask if he's sure he wants to go, he is. So we drive through the storm and get to the beach where it's overcast but not raining. So we had some fun playing in the surf and watching entirely too much TV (they have cable at the beach and we don't at home).
Overall we had a pretty mellow, good time. Monday we took the dogs out on the boat (a skinoe: a cross between a skiff and a canoe). Aul has been talking about doing this basically since I returned from Africa. He said he took them out when I was gone and it was so much fun and they love it so much... etc. So we spend two hours getting the boat ready and loading the dogs into it. Then I spend the next 30 minutes sitting in the boat, holding the dog leashes as tightly as I can while trying to keep them from tipping the boat over. They don't understand the process and so try to stand up or shift their weight or drink out of the sound (yuck), so I have to sit there the entire time saying, "nono don't drink that, sit, Ursi SIT! Don't tip over the boat Gabby, Gabby no, Gabby sit!" I look at Aul and ask, "um what part of this is fun?" So we finally get to this little island out on the sound and let the dogs run around. They take off almost immediately and run and play and I found out that Gabby absolutely loves swimming. She almost swam all the way out to the inter coastal waterway... which is kind of dangerous considering there are motorboats and Jet skies out there; not to mention the oyster beds which surround the island on that side are very sharp. We call Gabby back and as she comes running over I notice that her paw is bleeding profusely. Aul is off running around with Ursula and so I have to yell to get his attention, "Aul, Gabby's foot is cut up pretty bad, she's bleeding a lot here." Of course he's a guy, "She's fine. She'll just walk it off. Let her go." I look down at her foot, and at the blood which is now pouring out of it, with a degree of uncertainty. Sure she seems fine and she wants me to let her go play with Ursi but there's a lot of blood. "No. We need to pack the dogs back into the boat and go to the vet. She's really bleeding a lot here, I don't think this is just a scrape." We call the vet to let them know we're on the way, wrap her paw in a handkerchief and put one of Aul's socks over it. We get the cooler and the dogs back into the boat and head back to the house. On the way back Gabby suddenly jumps out of the boat and into the sound. I'm holding onto her leash but I can't get enough leverage to get her back into the boat and I don't want to strangle her by pulling on her leash. I have no idea why she jumped, it's not like her to do something like that and there was zero warning. She just jumped. Luckily, Ursi was tired out and lying down in the boat so I could let go of her leash while Aul and I pulled Gabby back into the boat. We got her back into the boat and made it back to the house and to the vet without further incident but it was a crazy morning.
Gabby returned from the vet with two staples in her pad and her paw taped up in a bandage and she's taking antibiotics for the next 7 days. The vet is pretty sure that Gabby must have cut her pad on an oyster bed.
*Nods slowly* Uhhhhh huh. Yeeeeeeeah. Ya don't say? Fer sure!Quote:
