Police in Philadelphia are declining to comment on a radio report that Indianapolis Colts receiver Marvin Harrison is being investigated in a shooting that took place earlier in the week.
Lt. Frank Vanore said the investigation of the shooting outside a bar Tuesday was continuing. Harrison, 35, has not been arrested or charged.
"He was interviewed," Vanore said Friday. "Why he was interviewed, that is all part of the investigation. No one is a suspect."
After the first day of their rookie minicamp, Colts coach Tony Dungy said he knew little more than had been reported.
"My phone has been ringing, too, but I don't have any details," Dungy said. "I really don't have any more information than you do."
NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said the league is aware of the report and is "looking into it." Harrison's agent, Tom Condon, did not immediately return a call.
Radio station WIP in Philadelphia first reported that Harrison was being investigated regarding a shooting outside the bar Playmakers on Tuesday.
Harrison has caught 1,042 catches, the fourth highest total in NFL history, in a dozen seasons — all spent with the Colts. He is the only man to record more than 100 receptions in four consecutive seasons and shattered the single-season record in 2003 with 143 catches.
Harrison has a streak of 184 consecutive games with at least one catch, second in NFL history, though far behind Jerry Rice's 274. The veteran receiver is coming off knee surgery.
