Trials

Last night I was sitting in PoJ looking for a trials group and this ranger named Dervin invites me to a group. A few minutes later he tells me he's getting a hoss cleric to come heal us. Then he starts inviting more hoss, Lonskils, Thuggo and Zatapika all showed up and joined us. We added a Shammy and were about to go in when we suddenly figure out that Dervin tricked the 3 HOSS members into joining by implying he knew one of them to get the other 2 to come.

Right then and there if Lons, Thug, and Zata had left I wouldn't have thought any less of them, but they stuck around in spite of Lonskils headache and we got flagged on our first run through. I felt bad at the circumstances and just wanted to say again that I'm sorry this guy tricked the 3 of you, you showed a lot of class in staying in spite of this.

Thanks for helping. It was much appreciated.

Oh...I dunno how the rangers will deal with him but we clerics can just give him 0% rezzes all the time. ;>

I have to say that I did not trick anybody.
I first asked Zeldapika if she wanted to join and then told the other hossers that Zeldapika was coming and asked if they wanted to join too because I thought that they would come too if the group had their friends in it. I told Lonskils that Zeldapika was with us and asked if he wanted to join but I never said that I knew her. What is asked was "Would you like to join us in POJ for the flags? We have Zeldapika here too". And then Lonskils said that he was kinda tired but would do anything for ZP. After Lonskils joined I simply asked Thuggo the same thing and he said that its cool. I DID NOT trick anybody in this.

Hello,

perhaps "trick" wasn't the right word, but some of the people who showed up didn't seem too happy, even going by what was said in /g you should have figured that out right away.

A big part of this game is how you handle yourself in groups. Maybe you didn't mean to make anyone angry, maybe you didn't mean to imply that you knew one of the HOSS members and that's why they were there. Sending people tells and asking for trials help out of the blue just because they're HOSS seems a little brash to me, but maybe that's just me. The impression you gave that night wasn't something to be proud of, whether it was intended or not.
