From everything I've seen and my own personal opinion, yes.

Then again, I don't really prefer the iphone... so maybe I'm too biased.

It's $300 before the $100 rebate.

$200 for new 2 year contract and $150 if you're upgrading (after rebate of course). So far this phone is fucking AWESOME. I'm still playing around with it. When I went to buy it this morning the guy at the Verizon Wireless store said they got it last week and he's been playing with it ever since. Oh yeah, and this salesman had an iPhone before this went live and absolutely loves it.

OH YEAH... the Turn by Turn directions (GPS/Google Maps and Satellite view) almost made me poop myself... It's just amazing.. Free app that comes with the phone and its in "BETA".... I know other phones can do this but I guarantee you it's not as good as this.

You press a button for voice recognition search:

I say: "Walgreens" It finds the nearest Walgreens to my location via Google.
I click on Find directions and it automatically starts guiding me by audio.

That alone just blew my mind. And I'm just getting started with this thing

I believe the Android mobile platform will beat the iPhone given the proper hardware. The previously released Android handsets (on T-Mobile) were trash made by HTC; now that Motorola has released this new hardware, perhaps the platform can finally come into its own.
